I am Ward Masterman, an author, and I am hopeful of enlightening people who have a mistaken idea of what a human being is. No, you are not everyman/woman – you are you, unique, different from everyone else and so you are fearful of people who are not like you. That’s understandable. You may have a fear of people with a different skin colour, nationality, religion, politics. Any fear creates prejudice and, unfortunately, prejudice is very hard to conquer.
So, I want to help you look at any prejudice you might have and ascertain why you have it. As I say, you are unique – there’s nobody who thinks like you do because your thoughts are based on your upbringing and, let’s face it, how many people were brought up exactly the same way you were? Not even your siblings (if any) experienced what you experienced. For example, did they fall in love at the same time you did? Did they feel love the same way you did? Did they have the same classmates at school, the same friends, play the same sports or musical instrument?
You are unique. But so is everyone else who lives and breathes. They are unique too. But they have the same three things you have. They have a brain, a heart and a soul. Interpret “soul” how you will. Let’s call it life force – the force that leaves us when we die.
So what is a human being? Through my blogs I hope to show you.
